I believe that people don’t come to therapy because they’re broken or failing. They come because something feels stuck, tangled, or harder than it should be to carry alone. If you’ve been thinking, “I should be able to handle this, but I can’t quite sort it out,” you’re not alone. My role is to help you slow things down, gain clarity, and move toward change in a way that feels steady, realistic, and grounded in your real life.

I enjoy working with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, addiction, anger, relationship strain, and patterns that seem to persist despite good insight and effort. I’ve practiced in a wide range of settings, including private practice, residential treatment, state systems, probation and parole, and child welfare. That breadth of experience helps me understand not only individual struggles, but also the systems, pressures, and histories that often shape them.

In sessions, I’m collaborative, direct, and attentive. Clients often describe our work as focused and practical; space to think clearly, feel understood, and translate insight into meaningful action. My approach is trauma-informed and draws from EMDR, cognitive and skills-based therapies, while remaining flexible and responsive to what you need in the moment. Therapy with me tends to feel purposeful, respectful, and rooted in real-world change.

I’m also an approved clinical supervisor and value thoughtful, ethical care for both clients and the clinicians I support. I believe meaningful change happens when people are met with clarity, care, and accountability, and when therapy stays connected to real life rather than abstract ideas.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy time with my family and being outdoors - hiking, biking, fishing, golfing, and making the most of Idaho’s seasons. Staying grounded and connected is something I value both personally and professionally.
