Meridian Therapist Amy Quam
Hello! I’m happy you’re here!

I know it can feel like we just go through our days merely surviving, and I want to help you get to a better place where you start living the life you want and thriving! As a therapist, I aim to create a safe, warm, and inviting space to walk beside you and guide you to a more fulfilling life. It has been very rewarding to me to see people start to truly feel comfortable in their skin and show up in the world feeling like their “real” selves.

We will collaborate in a way that feels supportive and meaningful to you.  Together, we’ll explore your unique challenges, uncover strengths, and develop practical strategies to enhance your well-being. I’m committed to creating a safe space where you can express yourself freely. Our therapeutic alliance will be built on trust, respect, and collaboration.

With my counseling and social work background, I view individuals in the context of their environment. This can be extremely valuable since no one lives in a bubble, and many factors and systems are at play that interact with and influence individuals. My therapeutic approach is a combination of modern techniques that have been most effective in helping people heal and grow.  I have genuine compassion and empathy in who I am as a person that comes through in and out of the office. I believe in a holistic perspective that includes healing the mind, body, and spirit. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a way that helps to shift them so they are more healthy and beneficial to you. I’ll also provide practical tools to help you cope, heal, and thrive. I will tailor my approach to your specific needs so that you will get the most out of therapy with me.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults and use an eclectic approach that includes trauma-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic, solution-focused, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and attachment-based.

Remember, you’re not alone, and you are worth it!
